Governors Christie and Kasich Join 2015 New Hampshire Education Summit
Other Participants in the August 19 Forum Include Governor Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina, Governor Bobby Jindal and Governor Scott Walker
The American Federation for Children, the nation’s voice for educational choice, in partnership with The Seventy Four, announced today that Governors Chris Christie and John Kasich will participate in the 2015 New Hampshire Education Summit on August 19 at Londonderry High School.
The first-of-its-kind forum will feature moderated discussions with Campbell Brown, Editor-in-Chief of The Seventy Four. Other confirmed participants include Governor Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina, Governor Bobby Jindal and Governor Scott Walker. The summit will be livestreamed on www.the74million.org.
“We are thrilled to add even more outstanding leaders to the Summit and the overall national conversation on education,” said Betsy DeVos, Chairman of the American Federation for Children. “Every child deserves access to a quality education, and we must collaborate and create a national dialogue to ensure education is a top priority.”
“With the education system in this country in desperate need of new ideas and innovation, it is important that we hear directly from our nation’s leaders their vision for how to address this most critical issue”, said Campbell Brown. “As governors, Chris Christie and John Kasich have dealt with many of the challenges in the education space and we look forward to understanding their proposed solutions for the problems on a national stage.”
In October, AFC and The Seventy Four will partner with the Des Moines Register for a second forum, the 2015 Iowa Education Summit, where voices from the Democratic side of the aisle will have an opportunity to share their vision on education reform.
All featured speakers at both the 2015 New Hampshire Summit and 2015 Iowa Summit are invited in their current personal or professional capacities and will appear on stage separately.
