The American Federation for Children Education Policy Fellowship provides training and professional development for a select group of graduate school students pursuing careers in education policy, advocacy, and reform.

Throughout the six-month fellowship, fellows receive one-on-one career mentoring and participate in monthly group meetings, each focused on a specific issue in education policy and featuring guest speakers.

Each fellow receives a stipend for their participation in the fellowship and the completion of a number of policy deliverables, including one completed white paper per fellow.

AFC Education Policy Fellows Will:

  • Learn about key topics in education policy and reform from leaders in the education policy field
  • Receive one-on-one career mentoring from AFC’s National Policy Director
  • Build connections with other young professionals interested in education policy
