Celebrity Champions for Choice headline Georgia NSCW rally and raise awareness nationally
By Krista Carney
Georgia celebrated National School Choice Week with a great event! More than 2,000 parents, students and allies gathered near the state’s capitol with Gov. Nathan Deal and Grammy award winning artist Chris Bridges (aka Ludacris) and actress Keisha Knight Pulliam.
AFC’s Champions for Choice in Education initiative, which works with celebrities to share the power of school choice, brought the special celebrity guests to the rally put on by the Georgia Center for Opportunity.
Ludacris, rapper, actor and entrepreneur, has always been interested in every child being able to access a quality education, innovative learning techniques and having options available to all. He even helped his daughter, Karma, create an interactive learning website.

Keisha Knight Pulliam, actress and philanthropist, has been an ambassador for Champions for Choice for several years, spreading the message in media appearances and being featured in AFC’s public service announcements.
Governor Nathan Deal was also at the rally to officially proclaim this week National School Choice Week in the state of Georgia.
To bring even more attention to National School Choice Week, AFC released a national PSA featuring even more of our Champions for Choice advocating for every child to have a choice.
