24 Days of Giving Thanks – Day 7

It’s day 7 of AFC’s 24 Days of Giving Thanks! Today we recognize president and principal of Louisiana’s Good Shepherd School, Thomas Moran, Jr.

Good Shepherd has served the New Orleans community since 2001 and when the city’s education system had to be completely rebuilt after Hurricane Katrina, Good Shepherd saw the Louisiana Scholarship Program as a way to serve even more students.

Moran is in his first year as principal at Good Shepherd. He has embraced the school’s focus on service learning, high academic standards and diverse student body. “We’re going to make sure that every opportunity exists for our students. Knowing that they are going to become the next generation of productive leaders and difference makers,” he said.

Hear Moran talk about Good Shepherd and learn why he’s known as a ‘guiding light’ in New Orleans:

We’re thankful for great school leaders like Thomas Moran and great school choice schools like Good Shepherd! AFC is working to give students the opportunity to attend a quality school and access their full potential. Donate today and help advance school choice nationwide!
