07.20.2015 AFC Daily News Clips – morning edition

Good morning:

A lot of excitement this summer…
We are officially less than a month away from the 2015 New Hampshire Education Summit, sponsored by the American Federation for Children and hosted by The Seventy Four. Confirmed speakers for the Aug. 19 event include, Gov. Jeb Bush, Ms. Carly Fiorina, Gov. Bobby Jindal and Gov. Scott Walker, and we anticipate additional announcements later this week. In October, a second forum will be held, in partnership with The Des Moines Register, “2015 Iowa Education Summit,” invited speakers include Secretary Hillary Clinton, Gov. Lincoln Chafee, Gov. Martin O’Malley, Sen. Bernie Sanders and Sen. Jim Webb.
Last week, AFC hosted its fourth annual pre-ESPYS celebration, you can watch a wrap-up video here: https://youtu.be/Qr3VNqkT32o
Finally, in case you missed it, Sen. Tim Scott delivered a passionate argument about the importance of empowering parents with school choice.
Have a great Monday!
