Arizona Legislators Unanimously Pass New Anti-Fraud Measures to Strengthen and Protect School Choice Program

The American Federation for Children, the nation’s voice for educational choice, today applauded the work of Arizona legislators for protecting the integrity of Arizona’s trailblazing Empowerment Scholarship Accounts (ESA) by unanimously voting in favor House Bill 2458, anti-fraud legislation that safeguards ESAs. The American Federation for Children praises all Arizona legislators for ensuring ESA funds are being used properly and adding needed accountability measures to the one-of-a-kind program. Empowerment Scholarship Accounts allow Arizona parents to take unprecedented control over their children’s education.
 

More School Choice Momentum in Mississippi

The American Federation for Children – the nation’s voice for educational choice – today applauded Gov. Phil Bryant and the Mississippi legislature for passing HB 896, which provides scholarships to students with speech and language disabilities to attend a qualified private school of their parents’ choice. The speech-language therapy scholarship program is a limited program but another step forward for students who deserve more educational choices.
